Wayne - Wayne is the Manager at Freedom Fitness PLUS. His job is to ensure Freedom Fitness PLUS delivers top shelf services to members. He is a fully qualified fitness and group exercise trainer, qualifying at AUT and Top Gunz Aerobics Academy (run by Brett Fairweather (5 times World Aerobics Champion) and Ruth Pirihi, both of Les Mills fame) in the mid 1990's. In the late 1990's (with a business partner) Wayne started a company, Aerobic Impact, which was a Human Resources company for Group Fitness classes that served gyms throughout Southern and Eastern Auckland. At it's best Aerobic Impact had up to 50 Group Exercise Fitness Instructors employed as contractors. The Business Model was flawed so eventually (after several years of great service to the industry) the company was closed. After that Wayne was absent from the industry whilst he pursued a business career in sales and marketing with established companies. This path led him to Australia, Hawaii, and all over the USA. During this time he was exposed to more and more, bigger and better business minds, that broadened his horizons, perspectives, and viewpoints substantially from what it had been during the days of Aerobic Impact. All the while he was a fervent student of anything related to marketing, sales, and general business philosophy. Wayne is excited about the potential Freedom Fitness has to deliver great value to the local business and residential community both as a provider of fitness services and as an advocate of the Birkenhead Community itself.
